Popcorn

You didn’t hear it from me (the last thing I need to also get caught in insider trading), but you might want to buy stock in Orville Redenbacher or in Corn Futures.

We’ve gotten used to Chance’s threats, as nothing has come of them. He posted a few in the CS Indy’s comments section on their feature story about IAD, and everyone just laughed them off.

Then Bullyville posted this

“mcgibby” refers to James McGibney, proprietor of Bullyville, who you might recognize as the one who purchased Isanyoneup from Hunter Moore and is now suing Moore for defamation

Chance has already complained to the BBB about Bullyville, so it certainly seems that he’s at least planning something.

Will he actually go through with the threat? Will he go the Class Action route (as he threatened in the past…sorry, can’t find the link to that threat), or will he file a lawsuit that also names the other people being mean to him (namely Popehat, Randazza, Captain Obvious, Chris)? It is hard to tell.

He is also still threatening to seek damages for “lost wages” because, apparently, his blogger enemies are the reason Chimiara fired him. However, Mark Hunter, frontman, set the record straight

Will any of this come to fruition, or will this be another empty threat, like all the rest?

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Two quick asides:

1) Chance is declaring victory in his SEO war  (screenshot), which none of his opponents realized they were fighting. Point of Irony: Check out the title. Yes he called it (in my opinion accurately) a “Fail Swoop” instead of a “Fell Swoop”

He has also taken to calling us “Bumptious Trolls” (screenshot), a word which he undoubtedly got from Popehat

2) After this weekend’s Epic Meltdown, and in light of Chance’s continued threats, I have decided to start a new feature here. At the end of appropriate posts (those dealing with “popcorn worthy” developments) I will share a popcorn recipe, because I’m sure before this is over, we will all be tired of eating plain buttered popcorn. This way we can enjoy our popcorn with a bit of variety.

Today I present Tequila Lime “Kettle” Corn

Ingredients:

1/4 cup simple syrup (or more, depending on how sweet you want it)

2 tsp lime juice (same as above parenthesis)

1 tsp tequila (ditto)

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels (not from microwave bags)

Pop the kernels according to package instructions

Mix simple syrup with lime juice and tequila and pour over popped popcorn and coat thoroughly. Pour onto a cookie sheet and bake until the popcorn is the desired dryness (I like it a bit on the wet side, but most people like it pretty dry)
